“Blackseed Oil is also known as Nigella Sativa. It contains 15 amino acids (including the eight of the nine essential ones). Carbohydrates and fatty acids including linoleic and oleic, volatile oils, alkaloids and dietary fibre are present as well as minerals such as calcium, iron, sodium and potassium. Research shows that Black Seed Oil contains more than 100 components, some of which are still unidentified, that work together synergistically.
It is a rich source of polyunsaturated and unsaturated essential fatty acids and is high in vitamin E. Vit E helps in keeping your skin healthy and supports the immune system. Its areas of application range from external skin care (psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, joints & scalp massage) to internal use as a treatment for various complaints (asthma, arthritis, immune system).
How do I use my Blackseed Oil?
Blackseed Oil has many uses and can be used or applied in different ways. Here are a few ways we like to use it but with careful research you can find more or adapt what we have here to suit your needs better.
- Take a teaspoon of blackseed oil every morning on an empty stomach when needed. (It does have an acquired taste so feel free to mix it in a bit of orange juice or blend with some dates.)
- Massage a little into your scalp or skin as needed.
- Blend in with your favourite moisturiser for daily use.
- Add to your favourite massage oils to help soften skin and relieve stress & Tension
- Include a couple of tablespoons to your favourite salad dressing
